BENTON - Two men were arrested Monday night following a two-county vandalism spree. According to Scott County Deputy Jim Chambers, "These two guys were cutting Christmas lights and destroying decorations. Each year we have this type of trouble and we've decided we are not going to let them get away with it. We will enforce the law and arrests will be made for these acts of vandalism."
SIKESTON - A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 200 block of Felker on Monday evening and three arrests were made. The vehicle was identified as stolen and Public Safety officers arrested the three male subjects in the car. An 18-year old, a 17-year old from Kansas City and a 16-year old from Sikeston were arrested on charges of receiving stolen property and are being held in the Sikeston jail pending formal charges.
