FANCY FARM, Ky. -- Ashley Carol Elliott and Christopher Davis Spurr were united in marriage Sept. 3, 2005, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with the Revs. John Thomas and Dave Johnson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Keith and Regina Elliott of Fancy Farm. The bridegroom is the son of Chuck Spurr and Jeri Lynn Spurr, both of Hopkinsville.
Altar servers were Nate Elder of Fancy Farm and Emily Curtsinger of Paducah. Music was provided by Barrett Wilson, organist; Angie Burgess, vocalist and guitarist; the Rev. Gerald Baker, vocalist; and Patrick Emerson, violinist. Serving as readers were Candice Buck and Christa Buck, both of Mayfield, and Meredith Wilson of Fancy Farm.
The bride chose her sister, Andrea Elliott of Fancy Farm, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Joni Gibson and Kayla Elliott, both of Mayfield; Sabrina Eftink of Murray; Julie Hoffman of Dexter, Mo.; and Christy Buck of Lexington. Shelby Clapp of Dublin was the junior bridesmaid. Serving as flower girls were Kylee Spurr, sister of the bridegroom and daughter of Chuck Spurr and Carolyn Hilton of Hopkinsville; Hannah Beth Elliott, daughter of Mark and Heather Elliott of Mayfield; and Mali Rives, daughter of Brook and Anita Rives of Hopkinsville. Ringbearers were Carson Elliott, son of Mark and Heather Elliott; and John Ryan Curtsinger, son of David and Susan Curtsinger of Paducah. Bellringers were Madison Clapp of Dublin, Miss., Caroline Curtsinger of Paducah, Kaley Elliott of Mayfield; and Lucy Dossett and Elle Dossett, both of Hopkinsville.
The bridegroom chose Trent Haddock of Hopkinsville as his best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Riley of Murray, Kyle Congdon of Hopkinsville, Stan Forman of Franklin and Jimmy Whitehair of Tullahoma, Tenn. Serving as junior groomsmen were Kyle Spurr of Hopkinsville, brother of the bridegroom, and Austin Elliott of Fancy Farm, brother of the bride. Ushers were Wesley Massie of Hopkinsville, Jacob Elder of Lexington and Cody Elder of Fancy Farm.
A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Melissa Hayden of Paducah, Lisa Clapp of Dublin, April Greer of Nashville, Tenn., and Donna Greer of Mayfield. Programs were distributed by Robbie Massie of Hopkinsville, Morgan Elliott of Fancy Farm, McKayla Rives of Hopkinsville and Kyle Clapp of Dublin. Candice Buck, Christa Buck and Meredith Wilson attended the guest book.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Carlisle County High School and received a bachelor's degree in advertising in 2004 from Murray State University, where she is pursuing her master's degree in mass communication. She is currently employed in advertising/sales at Comcast Cable in Clarksville, Tenn.
The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Christian County High School and received a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering in 2005 from Murray State University, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He is currently employed by J.K.S. Architects and Engineers in Hopkinsville.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Spurr are making their home in Hopkinsville.
