CHARLESTON - Tom Finley, 87, died Dec. 17, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born June 5, 1918, at Mountain Home, Ark., son of the late Harry and Ada Cox Finley, he had lived most of his life in Charleston, where he worked in farming and construction and was of Baptist belief.
On Dec. 21, 1940, he married Ruby Nell McMillen, who preceded him in death on March 17, 1993.
One daughter, Brenda Finley; four brothers; and one sister also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: five sons, Troy Smith of Benton, James Finley of Portageville, Bobby Finley of Hayti, Billy Finley of Bertrand and Donnie Finley of Cave City, Ark.; seven daughters, Joann Broussard of the state of Texas, Martha Shankle of Charleston, Rita Jarvis of Milliton, Fla., Gloria Ferguson of Clarksville, Tenn., Debbie Meyer and Linda Henderson, both of Vienna, Ill. and Patricia Traughber of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Dallas Finley of Charleston; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-
Friends may call from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Ed Carter, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Oran, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: James Ferguson, Kenneth Shankle, Brian Finley, August Meyer, Ben Nally, Mark Smith, James Shankle, Tom Shankle, Michael Nally and John Smith.
