HOWARDVILLE - Billie Ray Brown, 86, died Aug. 2, 2007 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born June 23, 1921, in Dublin, Ga., to the late Willie Brown, Sr. and Minnie Williams Brown, he served with the United States Army during World War II and was honorably discharged. He was a Baptist minister and a member of First Baptist Church in Howardville, living in Missouri since 1979.
Survivors include: his wife, Linda Brown of Olmstead, Ill.; four sons, Kinsey Ross of Malden, Darren Ray Norris of Memphis, Tenn., Michael Dewaine Brown of New Madrid and Travis Demonte Graham of Mounds, Ill.; two daughters and one son-
in-law, Marsha Lynn Brown of St. Louis and Yulonda and Jeffery Brady of New Madrid; six stepsons, Jerry Davis, Timothy Davis, and Shepel Davis of New Madrid and Olympus Graham, Herschel Graham and the Rev. Tronzo Graham of Cairo, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Tessica Murray of St. Ann, Yvonne Graham of Mound City, Ill. and Ann Ford of Cairo; one brother, Carl Williams of Hayti; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a special friend, Alma Brown of New Madrid.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon on Wednesday at the Friendship Church of God in Christ in Howardville. The Rev. Tronzo Graham will officiate.
Burial with full military rites will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
