SIKESTON -- Doyle Lambert, 78, died at 10 p.m. Nov. 27, 2006, at his home.
Born Dec. 10, 1927, in Marion County, Ala., to the late Charles W. and Autie Ethyl Nelson Lambert, he both served and retired from the United States Air Force. He was also employed until his retirement in the administration department at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include: one son and daughter, Mike Lambert of Poplar Bluff and Pat Medley of Sikeston; two brothers, Lecil Lambert and Buddy Lambert of Sikeston; one sister, "Deanie" Bass of Santa Ana, Calif. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Truman Eugene Medley Jr., Aaron Michael Lambert, Amanda Kathryn Lambert and Jessica Auline Medley; and one great-grandson, Grayson James Crump.
Four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. Wednesday until time of services at 1:
30 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Pat Hogan, minister of Shady Acres Church of Christ, will officiate.
Burial with full military rites provided by the Missouri Military Honor Guard will follow in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
