Born Jan. 8, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Russell L. and Iva Driskell Medley, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a machine operator for Good Humor-Breyers in Sikeston for 23 years.
On March 29, 1988, in Sikeston, he married Daphne Watkins who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two stepsons, Jordan Glastetter of Chaffee and Nathan Glastetter of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Sheila Medley of Morehouse and Jennifer Medley and Kayla Medley of the home; one brother, Truman Medley of Sikeston; three sisters, Delores Gettings of Scott City, Rhonda Vaughan of Franklin, Tenn., and Sharon Schwartz of Sikeston; and two granddaughters. He is also survived by many friends and supporters at Good Humor-Breyers in Sikeston.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Austin Maxwell of Smith Street Church of God officiating.
Burial will follow at 1 p.m. Monday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with military honors accorded him by the Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard.
