CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico -- Betsy Ann Williams and William Keith Mayes Jr. were united in marriage during a 6 p.m. ceremony Sept. 3, 2005, at the Hacienda del Mar Chapel in Cabo San Lucas. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Dr. Navas Young and the Honorable Maria Luisa Gonzales Castro.

The bride is the daughter of W. Joe Williams of Alexandria, La., and Lynne Lacefield Williams of Sikeston, Mo. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Williams of Searcy, Ark. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse D. Lacefield Jr.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Mayes of Livingston, Texas. He is the grandson of Susie Ogden of Livingston, Texas, Nelda Mayes of Houston, Texas, and the late Curtis Ogden and Bill Mayes.

Abbey Lyn Williams served as maid of honor and Jennifer Williams Shelton served as matron of honor, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Katie Leigh Mayes, sister of the bridegroom, and Jessica O'Quin McNabb, friend of the bride. Mackenzie Lynn Mayes, cousin of the bridegroom, served as the flower girl.

Jonathan Gray Ogletree, friend of the bride groom, served as best man. Joseph Lacefield Williams, brother of the bride, and Mr. Robert Earl Shelton, brother-in-law of the bride, served as groomsmen. Kellen William Mayes, cousin of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

Kathryn Suzonne Guinn, friend of the bride, and Julie Michelle Lowe, friend of the couple, provided special readings at the ceremony.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Resort and Spa. Wedding coordinator was Debra Papera-Slagle of Dallas, and music was provided by Cabomax of Los Cabos.

A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, where she received both a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Master of Professional Accountancy, the new Mrs. Mayes was a member of the Epsilon Zeta chapter of Chi Omega sorority. She is currently employed with ClubCorp Inc. as a senior accountant.

Mayes is also a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics and was a member of the Delta Kappa chapter of Kappa Alpha Order. He works as a sales representative with Ferguson Enterprises, a Wolseley Company.

After a honeymoon in Los Cabos, Mexico, the couple are making their home in Dallas.
