NEW MADRID - Christina and James Hodges are the parents of their second child, second son, born at 1:18 p.m. Sept. 1, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Samuel "Peyton" Hodges weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces and was 21.5 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Jo Crouthers of Catron and Gary Mainord of New Madrid. Mrs. Hodges is employed as a teacher with New Madrid County R-1 School District.

Hodges, son of Steve and Amy Hodges of East Prairie, is employed as a teacher with East Prairie R-2 School District.

SIKESTON - Tressa Spencer is the mother of her second child, first son, born at Aug. 31, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Preston Kyler weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 18.5 inches long.

EAST PRAIRIE - David and Crystal Sprinkles are the parents of their second child, second daughter, born at 10:07 a.m. Sept. 2, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Abigail Larae Sprinkles weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was 18 inches long.

Mrs. Sprinkles, the daughter of Sona Heil and Bill Gephart, is employed with CWA.

ESSEX - Manoel and Rhonda Dos Santos are the parents of their first child, a son, born at 8:39 a.m. Sept. 2, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Joao Manoel Dos Santos weighed 8 pounds and was 18.5 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Ronnie and Sally Parker of Essex.

Dos Santos, son of Candido and Antonia Dos Santos of Cacule, Brazil, is employed with Holden Pallet and Lumber Company.

GLEN ALLEN - Misti Eldridge is the parent of her first child, a son, born at 4:

CAPE GIRARDEAU -Catherine and Jason Schrumpf are the parents of their second child, first daughter, born at 8:33 a.m. Sept. 4, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Catherine (Cate) Weber Schrumpf weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 21 inches long.

Mrs. Schrumpf, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Sikes of Sikeston, is employed as a physical therapist with Saint Francis Medical Center.

Schrumpf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schrumpf of St. Louis, is the administrator of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center of Cape Girardeau, Jackson and Dexter.
