WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. - Lillian Louise Aston, 78, formerly of New Madrid, Mo., died at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 11, 2005, at Crittenden County Hospital in West Memphis.
Born March 15, 1927, at New Madrid, she was the daughter of the late James Lilbourn "Bede" and Elsie Smart Stepp. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Madrid and a 1945 graduate of New Madrid High School. She attended Southeast Missouri State Teachers College in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
On Aug. 25, 1947, in New Madrid, she married Harold Aston who survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: one daughter and son-in-law, Laura Louise and Lee Soult of Memphis; one son and daughter-in-law, George Lilbourn and Karen Aston of Memphis; two grandsons, Jon Ryan Aston and Harold Vernon Morris; four granddaughters, Lindsey Elizabeth and Rebecca Ann Aston, Roberta Stephanie Kederian and Elsie Elizabeth Bolton; one great-grandson, William James Aston; and one great-granddaughter, Abigail Ann Bolton.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Methodist Church in New Madrid with the Rev. Jack Ketcher officiating.
Cremation will follow.
