MOREHOUSE - Katherine Cossey, 83, died at 1:28 p.m. Nov. 17, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 10, 1922, in Ripley, Tenn., daughter of the late Williams and Clara Midget Kellick, she was a homemaker and restaurant cook for Ramada Inn and Lambert's Cafe for 25 years and a member of the First Oneness Pentecostal Church of Morehouse.

Survivors include: two sons, Chester O'Neal Cossey of Bloomfield and Gary Cossey of Dexter; seven daughters, Carol McLard of Sikeston, Kathy Seals of Sikeston, Connie Hensley of Morehouse, Barbara Renfro of Bloomfield; Judy Killian of Benton, Sharon Aters of East Prairie and Nona Odum of Kennett; two sisters, Pauline Bennett of East Prairie and Lena Cox of Memphis, Tenn.; 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Harlan Cossey; three brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Jimmy Vent of the First Oneness Pentecostal Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Michael Hopkins, Greg McLard, Jerry Wilson, Kevin Hensley, Jeff McLard, Floyd Aters Jr., Anthony Odum and Nathan Aters.
