ADVANCE - Walter Dunn, 85, died Jan. 22, 2006, at his home.
Born June 21, 1920, in Newbern, Tenn., to the late Franklin and Maggie Rittenberry Dunn, he had been a farmer and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. He attended Bell City General Baptist Church.
On Nov. 9, 1940, in Caruthersville, he married Macie Andrews, who preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 2005.
One brother, two sisters, one grandson and one great-granddaughter also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one son, Frank Dunn of Festus; one daughter, Joyce Stewart of Oak Ridge; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Billy Gadberry of Morley officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Michael Stewart Jr., Joseph Stewart, Daniel Stewart, Jesse Stewart, Ryan Dunn and Jeremy Dunn.
