SIKESTON - Mr. and Mrs. Ranny McDonough are the parents of a baby girl born Nov. 23 at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

ORAN - Mr. and Mrs. Ben Jansen and children, who lived in the community for two years, have moved to a farm near Kelso.

SIKESTON - C.L. Leemon, 40, Marissa, Ill., has purchased the Holiday Inn from Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lewis of St. Louis. The 130-room inn, built in 1963, is rated valued at more than $1 million by the Holiday Inns of America.

SIKESTON - Mayor Kendall Sikes has proclaimed Monday as Kiwanis Christmas Club Day. The non-profit organization is selling Christmas trees from door to door.

EAST PRAIRIE - Dedication of the McMikle Campus of the Missouri Baptist Children's Home is slate for 7 p.m. Dec. 19, following an open house from 2

-4 p.m. at the new center located on Washington Drive. Opening of the facility concludes three years of fund raising, construction and remodeling after the former McMikle Funeral Home was donated by Elgin and Sue McMikle to the Children's Home, headquartered in Bridgeton.

SIKESTON - Message from Lennies McFerren to the New Madrid County Eagle fans, "Thanks for coming back." McFerren's team thanked the largest visiting contingent of fans by eliminating the tournament's defending champions, Sikeston Bulldogs, 54-38. Other Tuesday games saw Charleston defeat Caruthersville 56-33 and Cape Central beat Blytheville, Ark., 74-58.
