SIKESTON -- Lanny Dale Presley, 62, died at 11 a.m. Dec. 7, 2005, at his home in rural Sikeston.
Born March 29, 1943, in Granite City, Ill., son of Emily Lou Waltrip Presley of Sikeston and the late Gerald Robert Presley, he was owner and operator of J.P. Auto Sales in Cape Girardeau for 14 years and formerly owned and operated Presley's Produce in Cape Girardeau for 20 years.
In addition to his mother, survivors include: one son, Joey Presley of Kennett; one daughter, Candace Presley-Rodgers of Sikeston; and two grandchildren, Cody Rodgers and Chloe Hampton of Sikeston.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Presley.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Cecil Adams and the Rev. Rodney Dunlap will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Joe Godwin, Tim Garner, Danny Freeman, Bill Waltrip, Harrison Waltrip and Dave Hampton.
