MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Mildred Harmon Woods, 82, formerly of Sikeston, died Dec. 6, 2005, at Millington Health Care Center.
Born April 20, 1923, in Piggot, Ark., daughter of the late James Robert and Almo Gulley Harmon, she was a member of Bement Baptist Church and had worked as gift shop manager for Sea With Motel in Panama City, Fla., before retiring.
On Sept. 9, 1939, in Missouri, she married Emmanuel B. Woods, who preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 2001.
One brother, Marion H. Harmon; and two sisters, Helen Hill and Thelma Harmon, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two daughters, Anita Wilkerson of Millington and Carol Littleton of Horn Lake, Miss.; one sister, Nola Scott of Sturgis, S.D.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
