NEW MADRID - Three people were seriously injured in a two-car collision Sunday.
At 12:10 p.m. on Highway 62, two miles east of Miner, a westbound vehicle driven by Kasey Holifield, 16, of Bertrand crossed the center line, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. Holifield's vehicle struck head-on an eastbound car driven by Rodney Keeton, 61, of East Prairie.
Both drivers and a passenger in Keeton's vehicle, Michael S. Wright, 50, of Sikeston were taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center by ambulance.
A Sikeston teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday.
At 9:30 p.m. on Highway 80, three miles east of Interstate 55, a vehicle driven westbound by Stephanie Kitchen, 17, ran off the road. The vehicle then overturned several times, according to the Highway Patrol report.
Kitchen was taken to MDMC by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.
