BLOOMFIELD - Vivian Lee Statler, 76, died Sept. 27, 2005, at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis.

Born March 20, 1929, in Stoddard County, daughter of the late Leonard and Ophra Walker Rose, she was affiliated with the Christian and Trinity United Methodist Churches, Girl and Boy Scouts of America, Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and other community organizations. She retired from the Western Electric Company in February 1989 after 20 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Statler.

Survivors include: two sons, Dan Statler of Benedict, Neb., and Don Statler of Peoria, Ill.; two daughters, Paulette Statler Wachter of Milan, Italy, and Mary Ann Statler Tipton of St. Louis; and two grandsons, Micah Statler and Joe Thornton.

Visitation is scheduled from noon Saturday until services at 2 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. The Rev. Kenneth Gaines will officiate.

Burial will follow in the North Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield.
