CHARLESTON -- Lue Bertha Hamilton, 88, died at 11:50 p.m. Dec. 12, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 7, 1917, in Holly Grove, Ark., daughter of the late George Snell and Elizabeth Clemons, she had lived in Missouri for over 50 years and was a member of Mercy Seat Baptist Church where she served as an usher.

In 1941, she married Lee Virgil Hamilton who preceded her in death.

One son and one daughter also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: five sons and four daughters-in-law, Bennie and Johnnie Mae Howard of Chicago, Jimmie and Ola Hamilton of Kansas City, Mo., Roy Chester and Louise Hamilton of Fort Heights, Ill., Leonard Hamilton and Jerome and Mona Hamilton of Charleston; three daughters and two sons-in-

law, Bertha and Alfred Kelley of Gary, Ind., and Ernestine and Phil Clark and Bernice Hamilton of Charleston; one goddaughter, Dorothy Riggens of Charleston; and 33 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and five great-

great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon Saturday until time for services at 2 p.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Charleston. The Rev. Antonio Moton will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of Williams Funeral Home of Charleston.
