FREDERICKTOWN -- Coming off an open week, East Prairie struggled to get its offense untracked in a 20-13 loss to previously winless Fredericktown on Saturday.
"We came out flat, then had a few chances to score late, but couldn't punch it in," said East Prairie coach Corey Adkisson, whose Eagles' record evened at 2
-2.
Fredericktown (1-4) took an early 13-0 lead and held a 13-6 advantage at the half.
The two teams traded second-half touchdowns as penalties plagued the Eagles throughout the contest.
"It seems like we had first-and-20 all day long," said Adkisson.
