SIKESTON - Ready to get in the holiday spirit?

The Fifth Annual Sikeston Depot Christmas Home Tours are scheduled for Dec. 4, and organizers assure that touring the four lavishly decorated homes on this year's tour will be just what you need to kickoff the holiday season.

Quite a few people come to the tours, which attract visitors from other states. "Our goal is to have at least 300 people," said Delilah Tayloe, curator of the Sikeston Depot.

Ticket profits support the Depot and help keep the doors open year-round in helping fund utilities, maintenance and exhibit costs. These costs "really need the help and support of the community to continue," Tayloe said. "Our annual operating budget needs to be met and this goes a long way toward accomplishing that."

Refreshments will be available at the Depot the day of the tour, where visitors are also invited to view the December exhibit "Treasures of Napoleon." Additionally, The Flower Patch and Park View Florist, special sponsors of the home tours, will be open the day of the event.

This year's home tours are scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 4, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Those interested in going can receive tickets by sending a self-

addressed stamped envelope and payment of $10 per ticket to: Tour, 102 Wickerwood, Sikeston, MO 63801

Tickets are also available from board members and at the Sikeston Depot during its hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; and will be sold beginning at 12:30 p.m. the day of the tour.

Houses featured on the tour will be:

* Steve and Marion Malone, 116 Holmes Drive

* Mark and Amy Gordin, 1304 Goldenrod

* Christian and Sherry Curtis, 508 Salcedo

* Dr. Steve and Beresa Barnett, 1301 Goldenrod
