PAULINA, La. - Robert Kindred "Kenny" Majors, 62, died Oct. 3, 2005, at his home.
Born Aug. 8, 1943, at St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo, Ill., son of the late Robert Raymond and Alma Doris Nix Majors, the family resided with his grandparents, Kin and Myrtle Majors, at the time of his birth. He was raised in East Prairie and was a graduate of East Prairie High School. For 22 years, he had been a resident of Louisiana. Kenny, as he was affectionately know by his family and friends, was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include: three brothers, Bill Majors of Friendswood, Texas; Richard Majors of Boise, Idaho, and Larry Majors of Portland, Ore.; two cousins with whom he grew up, Mary Ann Malone and Peggy Sadler, both of Sikeston, and a number of other cousins and friends in East Prairie and the Pauline, La., area.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, who died when he was only 14 months old; his father, Raymond Majors; paternal grandparents, Kin and Myrtle Majors; and two aunts, who were special to him, Roxie DeField and Mable Fussell.
Visitation is at 1 p.m. Wednesday until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Dempster Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston with the Rev. Harold Norton officiating.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
