John Curtis

SIKESTON -- John Curtis, 55, died at 12:02 p.m. Dec. 15, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born June 30, 1950, in Sikeston, son of Louise Cothran Curtis of Matthews and the late Wallace Cecil Curtis, he was a self-employed truck driver.

In addition to his mother, survivors include: one son, Blake Hensley of Red Bluff, Calif.; two brothers, Richard Curtis and Stanley Curtis both of Matthews; one granddaughter, Naomi Hensley of Red Bluff; a nephew, Sam Curtis of Matthews; a niece, Tammy Squires of Morehouse; and a special friend, Lisa Bratton of East Prairie.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. A.J. Wollenburg of the Concordia Lutheran Church will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Matthews Cemetery.
