SIKESTON -- Candace Nicole Stephenson and Travis Ray Burger were united in marriage Sept. 3, 2005, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Scott Sunnenberg performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Nancy Stephenson of Shelbyville, Ind., and the bridegroom is the son of Jim and Robin Kindle of Sikeston.
Music for the occasion was provided by organist Brenda Hale. Kenny Nave of Sikeston and Todd Stephenson served as lectors for the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless, cathedral lace full-length gown, which featured a scallop top and pearl beading throughout.
Maid of honor was Rebecca Nave of Sikeston, and Sara Evans of Ada, Ohio, was a bridesmaid. Alexis Burger, daughter of the bridegroom, served as flower girl.
Neil Gates of Sikeston served his friend as best man. Groomsmen were Shawn Sladek of Chaffee and Nicholas Burger of Sikeston, brother of the bridegroom. Ringbearer was Noah Burger, son of the bridegroom.
Jerry Bridwell of Oak Ridge and Todd Stephenson of Shelbyville, brother of the bride, were ushers.
A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Kelso. Reception assistants were Alma Tillison of Fenton, Sharon Fennell of Noblesville, Ind., and Susan Pence of Edinburgh, Ind., all aunts of the bride.
Following a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, the new Mr. and Mrs. Burger are making their home in Sikeston.
