Born Aug. 16, 1934, in Bernie, son of the late Elvis George and Gladys Irby Reynolds, he had lived in Elgin for 50 years. He was a tile setter and had worked for Coleman Flooring and G.M. Sloan Tile. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War, where he was a prisoner of War.
On Oct. 24, 1961, he married Carolyn Sue Fleenor, who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Houston Dale and Karla Reynolds of Wappapello, Mo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda Kay and Garrett Knudson of New Jersey and Carrie Sue and Robert Scott of Elgin; three sisters, Fay Bunch and Sue Dock of Dexter, Mo., and Yvonne Hopkins of Spring Hill, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11a.m. Friday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Burial will be at a later date.
