BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - Norma Stephens, 74, formerly of Dexter, died Nov. 18, 2005, in the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center in Brooksville.
Born Sept. 28, 1931, at Lexington, Tenn., daughter of the late John H. and Guy Eula Corbitt Ayers, she was a homemaker, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brooksville and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter.
On Jan. 21, 1951, at Lexington, Tenn., she married Noble Chester Stephens, who preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1980.
One daughter, Vicky Lynn Stephens and one sister, Harriett Scott, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons, Michael Noble Stephens of Tallahassee, Fla., Donald Glen Stephens of Willard and John Alan Stephens of Dexter; one daughter, Patricia G. Skipper of Brooksville; one brother, Bobby Ayers of Lexington and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Dr. Ron Wilcoxson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
