SIKESTON - Carroll Robertson, 91, died Nov. 20, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 18, 1914, in Washington, Mo., son of the late Gracie L. and Alvina Fahrendorf Robertson, he was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Henry Meldrum American Legion Post 224, the Eagles Aerie 3319, the Veterans of Foreign Wars 5368, and played drums in the Rhythm Airs and original Senior All Stars. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II in the South Pacific, and worked as a lineman for Missouri Utilities until retiring in 1973.
On June 30, 1941, he married Cleo C. Wright who preceded him in death on Aug. 3, 1980.
Two sisters and one brother also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one son, Jerry A. Robertson of Fairbanks, Alaska; one daughter, Carolyn J. Seay of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Robin Kralemann of Cape Girardeau, Christy Byrd of Sikeston and Kayla Robertson of Fairbanks; and three great-grandchildren, Austin Byrd and Lindsay Byrd, both of Sikeston, and Bailey Kralemann of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg, pastor of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with full military honors.
