DEXTER -- Paul Galey, 72, formerly of Dudley, died Oct. 18, 2005, at his home near Dexter.
Born Jan. 3, 1933, in Dudley, son of the late Ossie Galey and Eunice Florence Galey Daniels, he was a retired core driller for the Army Corps of Engineers and a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean War.
On Aug. 21, 1952, at Piggott, Ark., he married Mary June Thurman, who preceded him in death on Oct. 8, 1999.
One brother, Lehman Galey, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one son, Dewayne Galey of Cookeville, Tenn.; one daughter, Teresa Diane Mann of Dexter; one sister, Elwanda O'Dell of Santa Ana, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Revs. Clifford Wray and Greg Meadows will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Ash Hill Cemetery.
