NEW MADRID -- Helen Wilson Plummer, 92, died Oct. 1, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born May 30, 1915, in Bethany to the late Harriett D. and Garland Wilson, she attended Rollins College in Roanoke, Va., and the University of Michigan, graduating in 1938 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. In 1940, she moved to Chillicothe where she resided until moving to New Madrid in 1999. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution chapters in Chillicothe and in New Madrid.
On June 29, 1940, at Bethany, she married William H. Plummer, who preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 2001.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, James Wilson and Garland Wilson, and one grandson, Amos Camden Riley Bock, who died Oct, 23, 2006.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, James W. and Tami Plummer of Houston, Texas, Bill and Marilyn Plummer of Lakewood, Colo., and Randy and Charlotte Plummer of Snellville, Ga.; one daughter and son-
in-law, Jill and H. Riley Bock of New Madrid; four granddaughters, Julie Plummer Hearnsberger of Lakewood, Hillary and Kayle Plummer of Snellville, and Mariah Jane Bock of Raleigh, N. C.; and two great-grandsons, Ryan and Jake Hearnsberger.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
There was a cremation.
