SIKESTON - Caroline Sue Stroud, 66, died at 12:01 a.m. Oct. 1, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born March 10, 1941, in New Madrid County, to the late Herbert A. and Ruby Holmes Edwards, she had been employed as a payroll secretary for Sonny's Solid Waste in Sikeston. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Lesa and Lew Polivick of Sikeston; one son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Jill Stroud of Sikeston; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arvil and Deborah Edwards of Sikeston and Allen and Joy Edwards of Belle; one sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Jerry Fraley of Old Hickory, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Sam Polivick of Sikeston and Allie and Finlee Stroud of Sikeston. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Sue Taylor.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. tonight at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Ron Spell, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Eula Fay Brothers, Larry Traw Family, Larry Appleton Family, Thomas Thurman, Tina Manley, Faye Jones, Theresa Marshall and the employees of Sonny's Solid Waste.
Following services, there will be a cremation, with a private disposition of her cremains to occur at a later date.
