A helping hand

Inmates at the Scott County Jail picked up trash after the Cotton Carnival Parade on Saturday morning, supervised by Sheriff Rick Walter and County Commissioner Dennis Ziegenhorn.

The inmates picked up debris along an approximately mile-long stretch of Malone Avenue for four hours. "They enjoyed being out and doing something," Ziegenhorn said. "They helped us out a bunch cleaning up the city, which was absolutely a mess."
