NEW MADRID -- Jessie Willine WIlliams, 84, died at 7:20 a.m. Jan. 3, 2008, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 23, 1923, near East Prairie, to the late Cleve and Sarah Jane Standfield Jackson, she had lived in New Madrid County all of her life. She was a member of the Kewanee Baptist Church.
On Nov. 1, 1940, at New Madrid, she married Lloyd Buford Williams, who preceded her in death on March 11, 1999.
Also preceding her in death were three sons, Albert Williams, Larry Williams and Kenneth Williams.
Survivors include: four sons and three daughters-in-law, Roger and Linda Williams of Kewanee, Jan and Carol Williams of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Doug and Suzanne Williams of San Antonio and Tony Williams of Columbia, Tenn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Don Beardsley of Sikeston and Bernice and Lavern Rees of Murphysboro, Ill.; five brothers, J.D. Jackson and Teddy Jackson of Matthews, Tommy Jackson of Anniston, Jesse Jackson of East Prairie, and Alton "Wacker" Jackson of New Madrid; four sisters, Lucille Partin of Cunningham, Ky., Deannie Bard of East Prairie, Jeanie Redden of Marston and Charlotte Grissom of New Madrid; three special friends, Gene Brown of Kewanee, Dorothy Fowler of New Madrid and Mallory Jones; and 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. tonight at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
