Carmen Mason

SIKESTON - Carmen G. Mason, 91, died at 5 a.m. Dec. 30, 2005, at her daughter's home in Morton, Ill.

Born March 14, 1914, in Flatwood, Tenn., daughter of the late George Robert and Minnie Dabbs Garner, she was a homemaker and a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston.

On Sept. 16, 1933, in Trenton, Tenn., she married David Hast Mason, who preceded her in death on July 28, 1982.

One daughter, Jo Dale Hollis, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Jere Mason of Anniston, Ala.; three daughters Christeen Shivers of Oxford, Miss., Nell Lowe of Sikeston and Pat Haines of Morton, Ill.; two sisters, Jean Quinn of Jackson, Tenn., and Mildred Aldridge of Trenton, Tenn.; and 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, until time of services at noon at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Pat Hogan, minister of Shady Acres Church of Christ, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
