ST. LOUIS -- Charles Camden "Cam" Newlon, 53, formerly of Charleston, died Nov. 29, 2005, at his home.

Born March 5, 1953, son of the late Maurice and Florence Ree Goodin Newlon, he was a 1970 graduate of Charleston High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He had been employed with the Wicks Organ Company as a designer and installer and had an important role in the design and installation of the pipe organ at the United Methodist Church in Charleston. He was of the Catholic belief and served as organist at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston during his high school years.

Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Anne and Rodney Clayton of Charleston.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Charleston with Dr. Richard Logan of Charleston and Dr. Larry Bohannon of Sikeston officiating.
