COTTONWOOD, Ariz. - Frank High, 75, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died June 28, 2007, at his home.
Born Oct. 30, 1931, in East Prairie, to the late Shannon B. and Ona B. Million High, he attended East Prairie School and served from 1950-1954 during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Coolbaugh. A member of the Teamsters Local 525 in Alton, Ill., he was a truck driver for 38 years and retired from Owens-Illinois in 1991.
In 1966, at Globe, Ill., he married Pam Taylor who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Earl A. "Tony" and Avis High of Warrenton, Mo., four grandchildren, Heather Hoelscher, Jeremy High, Heidi High and Holli High; and five great-grandchildren, Zeth High, Kayla High and Zoey High, all of Sikeston, and Maddisyn Hoelscher and Landon Hunter of Warrenton.
He was preceded in death by: one son, Robert Earl High; three brothers, Curtis W. High, Carl J. High and Lester W. High; and one sister, Sue High Myres.
Graveside services with full military rites conducted by the Missouri Military Honors Program will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the Dogwood Cemetery. Bill Adkisson of East Prairie will officiate.
