Your View: Web wonderful

Monday, October 1, 2007

Dear Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the good folks at KFVS-12 and its sponsors for the recent and first Webcast of the football game between the Jackson Indians and the Sikeston Bulldogs. This broadcast is a testament to the professionalism that the station exhibits to its viewers.

It was a joy to me for my sons to be able to see for themselves the history and proud tradition of our beloved high school. If not for this broadcast, I would have not been able to explain its history in virtual living color since we live so far away from Sikeston.

My sons marveled at our heritage and they were also thrilled to hear the email that I sent to the station announcing that we were viewing the telecast.

My family in Altus, Okla. will be watching future telecasts on the internet with great interest, but we know that if it were not for the efforts of KFVS-12 and its sponsors that this would not be possible.

It is indeed great to know that the efforts of a few can effect so many in ways that were not possible in the past. I commend those involved in bringing this broadcast into fruition.

Sincerely, Brian Trigg and Family Altus, Okla.
