SIKESTON - Rufus T. Sailors, 33, of Sikeston, who died Wednesday in San Francisco, Calif., will be returned to Sikeston for funeral services and burial.


SIKESTON - Frank S. Clinton, 42, general insurance agent at Festus, died unexpectedly Monday night at his home. Survivors include: one daughter, Amy Lee Clinton; one son, Charles Edward Clinton; and one sister, Mrs. Fred Elfrank, all of Sikeston.

SIKESTON - Seventy-five adults are enrolled in short courses to begin at Sikeston High School on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Classes include American Monetary Systems, Home Builders and Flower Arranging. Instructors will fly to Sikeston from the University of Missouri to teach classes, sponsored by the extension counties of Mississippi, New Madrid, Scott and Stoddard.

CAPE GIRARDEAU - The Southeast Missouri District Teachers Association has selected Ruby M. Silverthorn of Sikeston to be honored March 11 for meritorious service in public education. Mrs. Silverthorn will be recognized at the opening of the general session. Later, she and other honorees will be presented awards at a banquet in the University Center Ballroom. She is a fourth grade teacher at Southwest Elementary School.

SIKESTON - Semo Personnel Association hosted their annual Officer Installation Banquet Saturday. New officers for 1998 are: Peggy Gates, secretary/treasurer; Michael Meyer, president; and Karen Beck, president-

elect. Swearing in the officers was Jackie Herndon.


SIKESTON - Sen. Peter Kinder has announced the confirmation by the Missouri Senate of Priscilla Hornby of Sikeston as a member of the State Committee for Social Workers.
