Benton man killed in accident

MORLEY -- A Benton man was fatally injured in a one car accident early this morning near Morley.

At about 6:30 a.m., David R. Ervin, 42, was northbound on US Highway 61, three miles south of Morley, when his vehicle ran off the left side of the road, struck a tree and overturned.

Ervin was transported by helicopter to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where he was pronounced dead at 7 a.m.
