CARUTHERSVILLE -- A Caruthersville woman was arrested for stealing groceries at a Save-A-Lot Monday in Caruthersville.
Rosalind Hubbard, 50, of Caruthersville was arrested for petty larceny.
According to Caruthersville Police Chief Chris Riggs, officers received a call about 9 a.m. Monday from a Save-A-Lot store manager who said he observed Hubbard place several packages of meat totaling $35.40 and a lemon inside her shirt and walk out of the store without paying. Officers were contacted and Hubbard was confronted outside the store. Items were recovered and returned to Save-A-Lot.
Hubbard was taken to Pemiscot County Jail, and a court date has been set for Aug. 24 before Pemiscot County Division 2 Judge Byron D. Luber.
