DELTA -- Clara Mae Hefner, 86, died at 8:20 p.m. June 12, 2006, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born April 21, 1921, in Marian, Ill., daughter of the late Charley and Lou Etta Fowler Goodall, she was a retired outside sole cutter at Florsheim Shoe Company in Chaffee. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wyatt and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Chaffee VFW Post 3127.
On Dec. 30, 1939, she married Orville J. Hefner who preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1976.
Three brothers, two sisters and a friend also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Orville "Dickie" and Beverly Hefner of Delta; one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Larry James of Bloomsdale; one brother, Rip Goodall of Granite City, Ill.; and four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled at 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Watis Harrell will officiate.
Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance.
Pallbearers will be: Robert Hess, Dustin Hess, Jason Mosley, Bobby Brown and Joe Kinder.
