SIKESTON - Harbert Earl Western, 61, died at 1:45 a.m. Jan. 29, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Nov. 14, 1946, in Cairo, Ill., to Ruth Shaw Western of Sikeston and the late Harbert Raymond Western, he was of the Baptist belief. He served in the U.S. Army and was a truck driver for Ryder Truck Lines.

His wife, Mary Western, survives of Sikeston.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are: two sons and a daughter-in-

law, Richard and Dianna Western of Belleville, Ill., and Raymond Western of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Bobby Keener of Henry, Tenn.; two sisters and their husbands, Janet and Doyle Johnson and Phyllis and Kelly Harms of Sikeston; and eight grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren and four great-stepgrandchildren.

One brother, Larry Western, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ron Tate, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Charleston.
