MORLEY -- Mary Rozila Gunter, 86, died at 10:35 a.m. Aug. 23, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 12, 1920, at Winona, daughter of the late James Longstreet and Mary Ellen Melvina Price Lindsey, she had worked as a nutrition education assistant for the University of Missouri Extension Service.
On Nov. 10, 1942, at Charleston, she married Oral Elmo "Bill" Gunter who preceded her in death on April 11, 1967.
One son, four brothers, one sister, one half-brother, one half-sister, one stepson, one grandchild and one step-grandchild also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons, Roy Gunter of Benton, James Gunter of Chaffee and Daniel Gunter of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Brenda Stroder of Chaffee and Sharon Gunter of Benton; one sister, Susie Morris of Indianapolis, Ind.; one half-sister, Marie Wells of Indianapolis; and 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley.
