Sikeston junior varsity defeats Dexter

SIKESTON - The Sikeston junior varsity football team defeated Dexter's J.V. squad 13-0 on Monday night at SPS Stadium.

Sikeston broke a scoreless tie in the third quarter when quarterback Joey Williams hit James Bonner for a 35-yard touchdown pass.

Tyler Dame booted the extra point to give the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead.

The Bulldogs put the game away in the fourth quarter as Williams took a quarterback keeper 25 yards for a touchdown.

MORLEY -- Scott County Central's junior high basketball teams swept two from Oak Ridge on Monday.

The seventh graders, led by Charles McClinton's 16 points, defeated Oak Ridge 75-40 to improve to 3-0.

The eighth graders (2-1) defeated the Bluejays 70-32 with Bobby Hatchett and Stewart Johnson leading the point production with 26 and 22, respectively.
