BERNIE - Lois Mae James, 72, died Aug. 21, 2007, at her home in Bernie.
Born Jan. 27, 1935, at Dexter, daughter of the late Herbert Lewis Haney and Lucille Hargett Haney, she was a homemaker and had attended the General Baptist Church of Bernie.
On Jan. 28, 1952, at Piggott, Ark., she married Clarence Edward James, who preceded her in death on May 29, 1988.
Survivors include: two sons, Donnie James of Bernie and Brian James of Hillsboro, Ore.; four daughters, Linnae Ayn West of Anna, Ill., Linda Allen of Jonesboro, Ill., Brenda Pool of Mesa, Ariz., and Judith Waters of Bernie; two brothers, Donald Haney of Cobden, Ill., and Dale Haney of Anna, Ill.; one sister, Joyce Haney of Bernie; and 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Lewis Haney and Larry Gene Haney, and two sisters, Wanda Walker and Mary Lou Moore.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Thursday until time for services at 1 p.m. Thursday at the the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Burial will follow in Bernie Cemetery.
