Speakout 8/20

I'm calling about this that's been in the SpeakOut about these old people and some of these young ones that's been too lazy to work. If you can get out and make a dollar then you better do it. A dollar is better than nothing. A lot of these old people that have worked all these years, they started out at 50 cents or a dollar. They worked to pay all this Social Security in, and they're still paying it and taxes. Some of you want to sit around having babies and getting a check and getting food stamps, all your doctor bills paid and everything. It's time you stepped out and got a job and let the old people retire. They would be glad to retire if they could afford it on what they draw. Most of them don't draw much and they've worked all their lives. A lot of the old ones have food stamps and never worked. They buy new cars and jewelry and all of that. You ought to go to the store and watch them shop and watch what goes on.

I'd like to speak about that Cooper who give himself up for what he done. At least he's a Republican and he's honest. He's not like Clinton who lied about it while he was on the stand. Every time a Republican does anything, he'll step down if he's proven guilty or before he proven guilty, just like Nixon did. I think it's time the Democrats take responsibility for their actions. They need to step out when they do something dirty. I don't believe that guy thought he was doing anything wrong. Of course, he was a lawyer, he should have known it was wrong. He was probably just trying to make a living.

Cattle are quiet, gentle creatures who just want to be left alone to live their lives. The running of the bulls in Spain forces those cattle to run, they don't want to. Every picture in your paper of this rodeo has shown these poor creatures just terrified out of their minds. Look at their eyes. There is no amount of charity, which by the way would not be needed if we have a universal health care program, no amount of charity by the Jaycees can justify the intentional torture, cruelty and maiming of these poor gentle creatures. It's an ugly, ugly, redneck, low-class, stupid affair. It's a disgrace for this community and it needs to be stopped.

I almost choked on my hamburger when I read these comments. Your Socialist creativity in combining the rodeo and universal health care is amazing. And extremely ill-informed!

I was reading the delinquency list and then reading the article on deceased people being listed. You know what, it's pretty bad when you look in there and there's businesses that owe $6,000 on personal property taxes. And then you have individuals in there owing over $2,000. Isn't there some way you cannot issue city stickers or license plates on their vehicles? Pull their merchant's license until they get their taxes paid. This is ridiculous that those of us have to pay to get our license plates do. And those that live in town who give fake addresses to keep from paying their taxes, it's silly.

I'd like to speak out about an area hospital. I know you can't mention names so I'll just say an area hospital. I don't understand what has gone wrong with the system. I had a daughter that had a hysterectomy that almost hemorrhaged to death. She came up with bags hanging on her stomach and everything else. They released her in not even two days and sent her home from a major operation all botched up. Recently I had a brother and they released him. He was incoherent and shaking and everything, bleeding from his rectum and everything. They found out he didn't have any insurance. What in the world is going on with humanity? They are literally sending people home to die. I thought hospitals and doctors took an oath to help people. They are sending people home to die because they don't have money for medical. Help me to understand why our government pays everything else but they can't help these poor people pay for their medical.
