ST. ROBERTS -- Jerry Lee Chambers, 55, died Feb. 9, 2008, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
Born Aug. 234, 1952, in Kosciusko, Miss., the son of the Albert Chambers Sr. of Belleville, Ill., and the late Helen Gee Chambers, he served with the U.S. Army for over 20 years, retiring on Nov. 30, 1993, with an honorable discharge as a master staff sergeant. He was an ordained minister and member of the First Baptist Church in St. Roberts.
In addition to his father, he is survived by: two sons, Jerry Lee Adams and Sevelle Robinson of St. Louis; three daughters, Linda Faye Blue of the state of North Carolina, Makenzie Chambers of San Diego and Tiara Robinson of Marston; two brothers, Donald Chambers of East St. Louis, Ill., and Arnold Chambers of Winona, Miss.; two sisters, Marilyn Vaughn of Belleville, Ill., and Michelle Chambers of East St. Louis; his ex-wife, Carmen Chambers of Marston; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation is from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn. The Rev. Kenneth Holloway, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
Williams Funeral Home in Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
