SCOTT, Ark. -- Rebecca Danielle Crafton and Ryan Jesse Richard were united in marriage during a 2 p.m. Sept. 1, 2007, ceremony at Marlsgate Plantation in Scott. Steven Kyle, pastor of Central Baptist Church in North Little Rock, officiated. David Garner, owner of Marlsgate Plantation, served as the event coordinator.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Roger Crafton of Portageville, Mo. She is the granddaughter of Betty Edgar and Pauline Crafton of Portageville and the late Delbert Edgar and Hugh Crafton.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Richard of North Little Rock. His grandparents are Lerline Vincent of Sulphur, La., Elmie Fontenot of Opelousas, La, and the late Jesse Richard and Walter Thibodeaux.
Cascades of wedding flowers in shades of coral, deep purple and yellow filled the tents. Vows were exchanged on the front steps of the Plantation. Seated on each side of the grand veranda were the parents and grandparents of the bride and bridegroom. Music was by the Searcy String Quartet and soloist Holly Judd, friend of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory lace and beaded gown by Forever Yours Bridal. A comb secured her ivory veil, which was trimmed in beads that matched her dress. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses.
Serving as her honor attendant was Allyson Crafton of Portageville, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Stacey Pugh, sister of the bridegroom, Jessica Rice, friend of the bride and Krystal Eubanks, friend of the bride, all of Sherwood.
Flower girl was Morgan Seaton of North Little Rock, friend of bride. The bridegroom's honor attendant was Jeremy Rice of Sherwood, friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Tommy Smith, Aaron Eubanks and Phillip Young, all of Sherwood, and friends of the bridegroom.
Ring bearer was Cody Bowlin of Columbus, Miss., cousin of the bridegroom.
Serving as ushers to the guests were Dustin Pugh, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Wes Adams, friend of the bridegroom; and Brandon Gabriel, friend of the bridegroom, all of Sherwood.
Food and drinks were served under tents on the west lawn of the Plantation grounds. Guest tables were covered in coral colored linens and centered with wedding flowers. The wedding cake created by David Garner featured an ivory cream icing adorned with coral roses. The bridegroom's cake was chocolate embellished with chocolate dipped strawberries.
The bride has a bachelor's degree in public relations from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark. She is a branch manager and assistant vice president for Arvest Bank Group in North Little Rock.
Richard is the finance and insurance manager for Rivercity RV in Sherwood and is a student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the new Mr. and Mrs. Richard are residing in Sherwood.
