SIKESTON -- Amy Renae Pearson and Eric Van Johns were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony Jan. 6, 2007, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Sikeston. A.J. Wollenburg, pastor, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jimmy and Mary Pearson of Sikeston.
Parents of the bridegroom are Vanice and Betty Johns of Sikeston.
The bride wore a white satin A-line gown with lace embroidered cap sleeves, side draping and beaded embroidery on the bodice and skirt, with a chapel-
length train. She was given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was Lauren Deane of Sikeston. Katie Walker of St. Louis served as bridesmaid, and Colton Vanover of Moody Air Force Base in Valdoster, Ga. was junior bridesmaid. Flower girl was Haley Smith, daughter of Dr. Kelly and Mr. Chris Smith of Sikeston.
Serving his son as best man was Vanice Johns, of Sikeston. Keith Kinder of Sikeston served as groomsman and Tyler Hood of Bloomfield was junior groomsman. Ringbearer was Jacob Vanover, son of Stacy and Todd Vanover of Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta.
Ushers were: James Todd Vanover of Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, and Chris Smith of Sikeston, brothers-in-law of the bride, and Steve Henry, son of Charles and Carolyn Henry of East Prairie, friend of the bride.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Sikeston. Servers were Martha Sutton of Marston, Margie Maddox of Sikeston, Jean Pearson of Bloomfield, aunts of the bride, and Nancy Johnson of Sikeston, friend of the bride.
Following a honeymoon to Paradise Island in the Bahama's, the new Mr. and Mrs. Johns are making their home in Sikeston.
