DEXTER - Burly G. Brown, 73, died June 20, 2007 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 12, 1934, in Kennett, son of the late Conrad and Bessie Wills Brown, he was a farmer for many years and a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Dexter.
On Nov. 24, 1953 he married Bonnie L. Fulbright in Caruth. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2005.
Two brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Patrick J. and Karen Brown of Essex; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey and Eddie Pope and Monica and Dennis Dodson of Dexter; three brothers, Frank Brown of Kennett, Willard Brown of Green Valley, Ill., and Ronnie Brown of Tupelo, Miss.; three sisters, Roberta Champ of Kennett, Norma Taylor of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Teresa Tate of Jonesboro, Ark; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Visitation will continue at 10 a.m. Friday at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Graveside services will immediately follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett with the Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating. Burial will follow immediately.
