SIKESTON - John Berkley Kelley, 59, died at 3:20 p.m. Sept. 27, 2006, at his home.
Born Oct. 3, 1946, at Cape Girardeau, son of the late Theodore E. and Gladys Flo Healy Kelley Sr., he worked in car sales at Jarvis Motor Co. and SEMO Motors. He also owned Kelley Motor Co. in Malden and later worked as the warehouse supervisor at SEMO Electric. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. A member of Tanner Street Church of God, he was a former member of Kiwanis and Jaycees. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner in the clown division. He had been a deacon and youth director and held various committee memberships at First Baptist Church.
On March 4, 1966, in Sikeston, he married Pamela J. "Pam" Ozment, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Mitchie and Ron Golden of Malden and Kathy and Bret Watson of O'Fallon; one brother and sister-in-law, Theodore and Carolyn Kelley of Maumelle, Ark.; three grandchildren, Tyler and Hunter Golden of Malden and Caroline Watson of O'Fallon; an honorary daughter, Mary Ann Hamra Rhodes of Ballwin; and very special friends, Jan and Bill Pinnell of Wappapello.
One brother, J.T. Kelley, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Carl Addison, pastor of Tanner Street Church of God, will officiate with assistance by John's nephew, Greg Kelley.
Burial with full military rites will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Pallbearers will be: Mike Parker, Sam Hunter, Emil Schuchart, Roger Elledge, Larry Farrenburg and Jim Watson.
