SIKESTON -- Lois E. Evans Reeves, 87, died at 6:15 a.m. Sept. 27, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Oct. 28, 1918, in the Dogwood community of Mississippi County, daughter of the late James E. and Myrtle Bell Hurley Evans, she had lived in the Charleston area most of her life and moved to Sikeston a number of years ago. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and had attended the Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include: two sons, Donald Faught of Sikeston and William Walters of Dutchtown; one brother, Shelby Evans of Hartford, Ill.; one sister, Peggy Rockett of Sikeston; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, James William Evans and Robert Evans; and one infant brother and two infant sisters also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Dale Huff of Benton will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: James Faught, James Evans, Alvin Rockett, Wayne Rockett, John Canedy and Nick Fincher.
