MALDEN -- Samuel Sanford Hardin Jr., 80, died Sept. 26, 2006, at the Golden Living Center.

Born July 4, 1926, at Clinton, Ark., son of the late Samuel Sanford and Nellie Whitworth Hardin Sr., he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In 1963, at Kennett, he married Pauline Wren who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Andy and Marshanda Garcia of Campbell, Floyd and Carmen Lawrence of Arlington, Texas and Howard Hardin of Malden; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Donnie Hill of Campbell and Teresa and Terry Richardson of Clarkton; one brother, Frank Hardin of Malden; one sister, Mildred Blackburn of Parma; and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Josephine McGee; six brothers, Joe Hardin, Hubert Hardin, Herbert Hardin, Lyle Hardin, Wendell Hardin and Bill Hardin; and four grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. The Rev. Martin Goode officiated.

Burial with full military honors followed in the Lynn Oak Cemetery in Clarkton.
